This stone house is a solemn remainder of what is left from the decimation of a nation of free people during the great potato famine during the mid 1800's. Some say it was an attempt to genocide the people of Ireland for fear that the Irish were becoming too strong. This house was left an historical preservation in remembrance of what the Irish endured and triumphed over to literally keep living an ancient culture, and save a people. This area of Limerick on the West Coast of Ireland, was one of worst places hit by the darkest days of Ireland when millions died and millions were forced to flee as broken refugees, many coming to America if they could make it . This in some peoples opinion is hallowed ground. Hail Ireland!
